About Us

CHAIM BOOKS began as a shared project between two siblings in Vancouver, British Columbia who wanted to honour their father’s deep love of Jewish tradition. His life was shaped by the rituals and rhythms of Jewish practice, and his greatest wish was that those traditions would continue — with warmth, meaning, and joy.

These books are rooted in the practices he cherished, yet written for the way we live today — clear, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for real families and real communities.

Created out of love for tradition and lived experience, each book is meant to feel accessible and meaningful — whether you are deeply familiar with the rituals or simply looking for a way in.

Our hope is simple: to help Jewish traditions feel alive, accessible, and filled with heart — at the table, in the synagogue, and at home.
